This is Beatrix Potter true English Classic for children All of the stories have a subtle educative moral. Disobedient children are punished in some books but this does not mean they are dark stories. Infact her stories are so light the children can not get oppressed. A Collection of Beatrix Potter Stories Illustrated eBook Beatrix Potter Reviews
A beautiful collection of Beatrix Potter stories to read aloud to your child. These are nice to read at bedtime as they fall asleep listening to these sweet little stories and your voice. There are no pictures in this digital version, and though her artwork is beautiful, the stories speak for themselves. Plus, it makes it nice for falling asleep bc they can close their eyes and just listen.
I lost my kindle, so I haven't been able to read it. I think I like it. I love Beatrix Potter.
Beatrix Potter's stories are all so sweet and simple, and I'm glad my kids get the chance to love them too. I just wish this version included her original illustrations. My 3 and 5 year olds loved it anyway, and their vocabulary has expanded with regular use of words like "mischief" after reading. A must read for all children!
I love her writings and the characters she creates. If you get the chance read all of them.
And you might like this too. Greyda the Great and other Tails A Cats Tale
I have always loved Beatrix Potter stories, and told them to our girls when they were so very small. I would recommend reading these stories to the young people in your life, be it in a group setting or just one on one, show the pictures and let them marvel at the detail that Ms. Potter so happily hand painted. If you have the chance to read her biography you will learn even more about this most extraordinary woman and her love of her woodland and garden friends.
The stories are great, as any review can tell you. The formatting is imperfect, with words and lines sometimes disjointed on the . You also don't appear to get any of Ms. Potter's illustrations with this version. Those are reasons for 4, rather than 5, stars. Overall, you can hardly beat this for a free collection of children's stories.
I've read all of these stories out loud to my children. They enjoyed them all very much. It's a shame that it doesn't have all of the lovely illustrations from the original Beatrix Potter books, but don't let that deter you. The stories are interesting all on their own, even without the pictures. It just takes a little bit of showmanship from a good reader, and a little bit of patience on the part of the children. And the price was right. ;)
